Truth has become so elusive in our day and age. Oversaturation of data, conflicting “facts,” polarization, and the breakdown of communication have left us questioning what’s real.
In this environment, there’s one thing that still cuts through: experience.
As Andy Jassy (CEO Amazon) put it, “There is no compression algorithm for experience.”
Experience can’t be argued with as easily as opinions. It’s social proof. When I was playing professional volleyball, no one could say I wasn’t good once they saw me on the court. Decades of discipline and scars told the story.
And that’s the key today: the only way forward is to do things yourself. Not just in the short term, but in the long term. The more experiences you stack, the stronger your story becomes. Who we are is shaped by the scars we carry.
That’s why I also became a personal finance coach. Not because I read a book or memorized a framework, but because I’ve lived it. I draw from my own failings, learnings, and results to help others find financial peace.
The hardest part today isn’t finding information—it’s choosing what to focus on, sticking with it long enough to gain deep experience, and then having the discipline to share that story.
So here’s my question for you:
What experience in your life has become your strongest teacher—the one that no one could argue with? How has your journey been so far?
