In an effort to spread more awareness about how we can aid in supporting relief in Ukraine, I have been diligently working on my outreach to Ukrainian organizations to help share their message and identify their key needs. So far, I have had the privilege of speaking with three nonprofits headquartered in Ukraine: Zaporuka Foundation, Way Home Odessa, and Tabletochki Foundation. Here is what they do and how you can help...

Zaporuka Foundation: A nonprofit supporting families with children affected by cancer in the Ukraine by creating conditions for families to be together during treatment. They recognize that "childhood cancer is not just the story of a child, it is always the story of a family." They also provide social and psychological support through numerous programs. The Russian attacks have placed their foundation in an even more dire position to save lives, they have successfully evacuated 43 people from the National Center Institute so far. The goal is to continue this process and raise funds to support these children and their families. To learn more, check out the interview we did with them here. To donate, go here.

Way Home Foundation: Located in Odessa since their founding in 1996, this organization has supported Ukrainian families facing complicated situations including poverty, substance abuse, and domestic violence. They offer shelter, rehabilitation programs, psychological help, educational programs, mentorship, and more. In response to the Russian attacks, they have created an emergency assistance plan including relocating people from their crisis center and Ukrainian refugees to neighboring nations Poland, Moldova, Czech Republic, and Romania. They are actively taking donations through Global Giving so they can continue to support their people to the best of their abilities. To learn more, check out the interview we did with them here. To donate, go here.

Tabletochki Foundation: The largest fundraising fund that helps children with oncology in the Ukraine. The two largest children oncology hospitals are located in Kyiv and Lviv. With Kyiv being one of the main cities under attack which puts children's lives in danger. Most children are now being treated in damp, moldy basements, which act as bomb shelters. Staying unequipped with basic necessities for kids with suppressed immunity is very dangerous. Any infection can be vital for them. Heroic doctors and nurses stay with the children under these conditions in order to continue to help save lives. The goal is to further successfully evacuate children from the hospitals to Poland where there are hospitals ready to provide treatment to them. To donate, go here.

All the organizations above are also involved in Global Giving, a nonprofit that supports other nonprofits by connecting them to donors and companies.

If you have any questions, want to get connected to these organizations, or have any other organizations needing to be highlighted, please shoot me a message. Thank you all for your support.
