About

Stand Up for Kids is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to ending the cycle of youth homelessness in communities nationwide. They strive to build communities where all youth know care, feel loved and have a support system to help them move quickly from surviving to thriving. They give youth a sense of safety, hope, and belonging through housing support, mentoring, drop-in centers, and street outreach. Since 1990, Stand Up for Kids has spread their reach to 18 cities, working with thousands of homeless youth each year. They have four success factors that have been set by The United States Interagency Council on Homelessness that they focus on for each youth. The success factors are stable housing, permanent connections, education and employment, and social and emotional well-being. Stand Up for Kids is empowering homeless and at-risk youth toward lifelong personal growth.
