Mission

Our mission is to provide refugees and other forced migrants in the D.C. area with what they need to thrive and feel at home in the United States.

About

We help refugees in the three different stages of resettlement. - First, we SET UP their apartment so they walk into a comfortable and welcoming home ready to start a new life, saving them $3,600 of their resettlement money. - Then we help them STEP UP, by offering a way to earn extra income (and provide items for home setups) via our artisan program; and we also offer a small storytelling program to help refugees process their trauma and learn communication skills. - Finally, we help refugees MOVE UP, by providing cash assistance of $2,400 over three months for refugees seeking job training to improve their employment.
