The Muslim American Leadership Alliance (MALA) is a civic and community organization committed to promoting individual freedom and diversity, and to celebrating Muslim American heritage.

The Muslim American Leadership Alliance (MALA) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to celebrating and promoting Muslim American leadership and heritage. They cultivate leadership through integrity, and as such provides a platform for people to share their individual stories and to speak for themselves. They nurture emerging community leaders, and unite Americans of all backgrounds to advance constructive solutions to extremism and human rights abuses. MALA welcomes and honors the experiences of individuals of all ethnic backgrounds, gender identities, sexual orientations, socio-economic brackets, and political identities.

The Muslim American Leadership Alliance aims to inspire Muslim-Americans to share their personal stories & shape their futures while elevating public dialogue on Muslim-American identity in the 21st Century. Beyond that, they want to unite all Americans in a common struggle for freedom and individual rights by partnering with civic leaders to build a healthy future for the Chicagoland community. Since their founding in 2015, MALA has grown into a national organization mobilizing next-generation community leaders across the United States. MALA is also a formal NGO member of the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
